Worth knowing first

Dry, flushed skin needs fewer steps, but the right ones

  • After the peel my skin felt tight and sore, and I didn't know what to put on it.

  • The recovery ampoule from the peel kit is finished. Can I buy it on its own?

  • Serum and moisturiser: which one goes first?

A light hydrating step that comes before moisturiser

After a peel, or on days when skin is dry, the outer layer holds water poorly. What skin needs then is a hydrating, soothing step, followed by a moisturiser to hold it in.

The B5 ampoule is that hydrating step. Glycerin, panthenol and hyaluronic acid are familiar humectants, and all three sit within the first eight ingredients.

It does not replace moisturiser and does not replace sunscreen. The manufacturer's instructions follow it with the Collagen moisturiser.

How to use

After cleansing, before moisturiser

The steps follow the manufacturer's instructions.

  1. Step 1

    Cleanse

    Wash your face and pat dry. During a peel, rinse the peel off with water first.

  2. Step 2

    Take enough to cover the face

    Spread it evenly over the whole face.

  3. Step 3

    Massage gently

    Massage lightly with your fingers so the serum spreads and sinks in evenly.

  4. Step 4

    Follow with moisturiser

    The manufacturer's instructions follow it with the Collagen moisturiser. In the daytime, finish with sunscreen.

If you are using the Retinol mixPEEL kit, follow the schedule that comes with the kit. If burning lasts, or you get swelling, blistering or pain, stop every step and see a doctor.
